Code 6637 Overdyed Persian Patchwork 192x151cm Hand knotted

We select vintage Persian hand-knotted rugs woven in the 60s and 70s to create our collection of over-dyed patchwork rugs. We wash the colours, trim the piles, but care to keep the original patterns still alive. We then over dye them with a new colour of choice, cut them into smaller pieces and hand sew together with a sturdy yarn.
We back the patchwork rug with thick cotton cloth that strengthens the rug. The rearrangement transforms the ancient craft of rug making into a unique artwork suited for contemporary settings at home or in offices.
