This is a striking vintage tribal rug from Quchan, Iran, with a strong geometric character and a beautifully balanced traditional palette. Hand-knotted by tribal weavers from Quchan in Iran, this vintage rug is a distinctive example of traditional Persian tribal craftsmanship. Its character comes from both the handwork and the natural materials used in its construction.

The rug is woven from 100% natural sheep’s wool, giving the pile a warm, substantial texture. The wool has been coloured using natural dyes, producing the rich brick-red field, deep indigo/navy outlines, warm ochre and ivory tones seen throughout the composition.
